I smell opportunity in crisis investment. Lives in investment is funny sometimes. People create doubt and start to sell counter like GEN-S, Well I loves to go the other way round. The more you sell, the more I buy. And I am here for a long term investment. Let me share a good exmple with all here, I bought Genting (Malaysia) sometime like three years ago during all the bad news and after the share were split (RM4 at that purchase)you know what it went down to RM3....and Guess what??? MY balls were shaking. Hahahahahaha After awhile, that bloody thing shoot up to RM5. I happily sell it off, thinking I make RM1K per lot, damn lucky. After few months that bloody genting went up to RM8. So bro, If you buy good good counters why worry. Why keep asking and create self-doubts. Do your research and just keep it. Better still average down if it drop to certain level. Good counter will always comeback....So when everyone started to talk about genting later, when every broker firm AMResearch, DBS, Kopi Mamak, Bak Kut teh Seng started to buy buy and buy Genting-S.....hehehe....I will start to sell to them at SD1.80 and SD2.00 per lot.
One more thing, ask yourself one question??? You think singapore government will stupidly close down the casino??? Ask yourself again?? Will they? Do you want to Kick shit/sand to their own rice bowl. Casino and tourism in Singapore is crucial larr. Talking about factory and manufacturing Singapore already lose out to Vietnam in terms of labour cost. So Singaporean really need this to create job for its citizen and income to the government revenue. After all, neigbouring country like malaysia also have casino....what? you think there is no other place gamble meh....even Ah Sua and Ah Beng apartment also can gamble illegally without revenue of tax to the Singapore Government. THINK HARD, REALLY HARD MAN.
Investment means there is risk. How high a person can take its risk. The good thing here is Genting is a cash rich company with a sound management.
Thats why in Investment there is no guarantee of GAIN or PROFIT. It involve risk.....
Yes, if you are talking about 2-3 years investment, why not?? I have previously (year 2002) bought lotsa LPI shares (Malaysia Share) at 5.50 And my definition of alot here is 4 lots. As the management and business is solid. The shares have appreciated over the years to more than 10++. I sold it at 8.40 per lot. Still keep 1 lot of this counter as the dividend payout is quite good. (I just share with you what I know best, do your homework and invest according to your level of risk that you are willing to take bro.)
GENSP: Grossly oversold but still no signs of reversal yet
Although technically extremely oversold, there could be downside bias ahead of its 2Q12 results (10 Aug) as investors will remain sidelines. For risk takers, there could be trading opportunities if share prices fall further to more solid supports near SGD1.10 (123.6% FR from low 1.22 and high 1.74) and SGD1.02 (138.2% FR). Immediate resistance is SGD1.30 (10-d SMA). A reversal will happen if there is a strong breakout above will 1.30. Further upside targets are 1.38 (50-d SMA) and 1.48 (50% FR). RM1.36 (50% FR). Cut loss below SGD1.00.

The time has not yet riped for collection. Wait till the big 4 gambling cum casino gaints in Hong Kong and Macau shares continue to move north. Now the gambling cum casino shares are moving south. Mainland China filty rich gamblers have been reducing in number visiting theses places. This have badly affected the income of the casinos profit performance. Be patient and wait.
Hahaha, the house is half burned, still can burn further. Drama not yet finish. Temporarily up to trap more money in. Generally earning in genting sp is really down.
Haha ~~ Come on Guys !! This is MID TERM & LONG TERM COUNTER !! Why keep worrying the price movement everyday ??? Just Bought It and KEEP FOR LONG TERM !!! TODAY MAKE A GOOD SHOW ALTHOUGHT INDEX DROP 26 POINT !!
Told you so.....how to fine heavily. You want to break your own rich bowl meh?? Singapore Government will have to consider carefully in any actions agains this Genting Casino and Marina Casino. They are cash rich. Burned down also nevermind....hahahaha. That fine is just a tap on the shoulder only. Just to do some action movie la. Main actor - Genting Singapore (Can Never Die One) Good Guy - Singapore Authorities Scene - Fine few hundred thousand Singapore dollar Fire Burner - Analyst @ Cucuk Belakang, or can also be named as Sekejap baik/boleh naik sekejap turun/tak bagus.
That is the job of analysts, if they don't write sells or buys, where got trading activity, if no trading activity = no brokerage fees & commissions , no brokerage fees & commissions , analysts / brokers eat porridge & salted fish lo.
More to burn.....Genting SP for me is a downtrending shares with alot of uncertainties. Some might want to say that it is an opportunity to buy in GENTING SP. But I somehow feel it will struggle to pull out good profit result in the coming quarters. So we might see another round of free fall. I will only consider of Genting-SP once it reach $1.00 and below. Another point to note is there is no dividend payment for shareholders. So what is the incentive point to "stock-pile" this stock.
It is too much trouble to handle issues with shareholder conflicts in Australia. Better use the cash to fund other expansion plan in US and UK.
================= SYDNEY (Sept 19): Southeast Asian gambling group Genting is looking to cut its near 10% stake in Australia's Echo Entertainment, offering 39.6 million shares through broker Citigroup, sources said on Wednesday.
Malaysian-based Genting Group through its subsidiaries in Singapore and Hong Kong built its stake in Echo, the owner of the only casino in Sydney, earlier this year and had sought regulatory approval to increase its holding.
Genting was looking to sell the shares, equal to about 4.8 percent of Echo, at A$3.99 (RM12.77) per share, a 2.7% discount to the closing price of A$4.10, three sources with knowledge of the sale said. The stake is worth around A$158 million.
A Citigroup spokeswoman declined to comment while Echo was not immediately available to comment. — Reuters
Check the CEO's fee before you buy. Understand he is the best-paid CEO in the world. What about the minority shareholders? Any dividend? Get your facts right; will save you a lot of pain.
tigerroar...pls get the facts correct as Genting and GenM as poise to run for the coming Christmas angpow. Genting and GenM are Bursa Index Stocks and can watch carefully how Genting push up and down within a fews days. Genting HK is aready up in HK. For you info...please go to Genting Spore Casino or Genting Malaysia now and a week before Christmas or CNY and you will surprise to see the crowds contributing to Genting Malaysia/Singapore coffers.... No need to guess as Seeing is believing.....
For my Info ~ I just buy on Good Company not on the share price ~~ The price keep swinging down will effect to those contra guy or unpatient (short term)BUT wont effect on long term investor ~ For me..I'll keep collecting if go lower and lower... Myself still have some shares at $0.80 ~ Collect It when everyone call for "SELL" When the price shooting up again to RM1.80 ~ They wont shout "NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY"
My average price right now is $1.18 ~ Nobody wont know where's the bottom at!! But It seem the price drop from $1.75 ~And 8th day straight dropping ~~ I believe it will rebound very soon ~ Heart Must Be Steady !! Dont keep track your counter ever min... Investor wont bother daily prices... Look for long term growth ~ I will collect at below $1.15 ~ But I know is Impossible ! :D Myself like to buy when reseacher giving advice to "SELL" and.. BAD NEWS ALWAYS ARE GOOD FOR INVESTOR !! :)
