Dukang Distillers posts 33% rise in 4Q earnings to $4.9m

Dukang Distillers Holdings, the producer of baijiu in Henan Province, China, said it posted a 32.8% rise in earnings for the 4Q ending June to RMB24.7 million ($4.9 million) from RMB 18.6 million ago.

This improvement came on the back of a 76.2% rise in quarterly revenue to RMB453.4 million from RMB257.3 million.

For the 12 months ended 30 June 2012 (FY2012), earnings increased 29.8% to RMB 218.1 million as sales grew 28.1% to RMB1,826.6 million.

The improvement in sales was achieved on the back of higher sales volume and rising average selling price (ASP) for products under the Dukang brand.

Sales of products under Dukang brand, which accounted for 61.4% of the overall sales for FY2012 versus 54.1% for FY2011, increased 45.4% to RMB1,121.9 million from RMB771.5 million a year ago.
